Brad Arnett, M.Ed, C.S.C.S
Assistant Athletics Director- C.A.T.S Strength and Conditioning

1) What is your position title and what are your job responsibilities?

I am the Director of Strength and Conditioning. I oversee the year round training for all nineteen(19) sports here at the U of A.

2) How did you prepare for the work you do? What did you major in? Do you have a graduate degree? Any other special training or experience that helped?

Being a collegiate athlete helped me a lot. My major was in Kinesiology, as well as my graduate degree. Special training comes from doing a Graduate Assistantship at a scholarship school. Strength and Conditioning is definately learned on the job.

3) Any recommendations to students interested in the kind of work you do?

Volunteer hours and observe with fitness to see if it is what you like. Collegiate training is much different than a 24 hour fitness center.

4) Would you be willing to have a student contact you with his/her questions?

Yes through email: bdarnett@u.arizona.edu
