University School is open year round to assist you with the major
exploration process.
- Typically
we schedule you for a one hour appointment.
- Office Hours
are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00 pm.

Learning Center to schedule an appointment.
- Before
your first appointment, please print and fill out
this form and bring it to your advisor.
When
I make an appointment with University School for major exploration,
what will happen?
- You will
begin by sitting with an advisor to talk about your values, interests,
skills and experiences. What books do you enjoy reading? What
do you do for fun? What kind of jobs have you held? What classes
do you do well in? What majors have you already tried/considered?
- You may take
the Strong Interest Inventory and/or
the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator
to help define your personality and interests.
- You will
probably leave each session with some "homework" - schedule a
meeting a major advisor, attend the Meet
Your Major Fair, look at some websites, attend Pizza
with a Professional, visit some places of business, etc.
- You will
most likely need to meet with your advisor several times during
the exploration process. The process takes time and effort. We
